Mono mult output bug in PT 12.8?

I was just wondering how you end up with 50 outputs (= 50 tracks?). Or do you output to every channel separately?

I hardly ever get asked for tones. I just use this workflow for the 2pop. It's a mono track panned in such a away it's on all the 5.1 channels equally (saves me a few voices). I always test with a 2pop in the dial track to see if it ends up in the right place (delay compensation can be a mess sometimes).

Yes. The only way I could get the tones at the proper level was to bypass any panners, so I took that channel and multed the output to each mono leg of every deliverable stem:

DX L
DX R
DX C
DX Lfe
DX Ls
DX Rs
M+E L
M+E R
......(ad infinitum depending on the spec)

This worked fine for years and I never thought about it until 12.8.x broke the feature.

It sounds like the bugfix is in the release notes of 12.8.2 FYI.

Fixes a bug saving a track with more than 10 outputs.

FIXED! In 12.8.3 I can have my cake and eat it: fast graphics and no mult bug. Whew.
