Default clicking?

Has anybody had a problem with clicking and popping on the audio recording with the Mbox and PTLE 6.4 in Windows XP. My problem occurs about 15-30 minutes after my session is on. I adjust my buffer size and it stops for a little while, but not for very long.
I saw a driver fix for the Mbox (mac version)
but nothing for the windows format. Any permanent fixes?

My problem is almost the same, but happens about 01 - 02 minutes after I press the play buttom... In fact, it occurs when I am recording some track, which means I am in trouble... I feel myself as I am in a nightmare cuz my customers just start staring at me, like angry dogs... Imagine this situation... What should I speak to them, since they are hiring me for periods of hours...? Everytime I have to stop the session to say "I'm sorry, excuse me, pardon, etc, etc..."

So, I need somebody to help me ASAP... If I cant solve this problem really fast, I guess I'll downgrade my system to Audiomedia card cuz it was working perfectly before Mbox...

:-(

Is the clicking and popping always in the same spot in the recording? I was getting that. I finally figured out that some tracks will end with a "pop" if you stop recording manually. I just cut a little sliver off the end of the recorded region and it went away.

In my case, these noises and clickings are not at the same point... When I start recording a track, it works fine for 01-02 mins... Then the noise starts... And the noise I am talking about is as if I was using a overdrive plugin, understand me...? Imagine, you outta the blue press the overdrive buttom and the sound starts buggin you, got it...? Its not like a exactly overdrive, but it sounds like this... Then I have to change my buffersize settings... If its 128, I change to 256... Then, when the problem occurs again, I set back to 128... It's driving me crazy, cuz everytime I have to toggle this buffersize settings... PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME...

Hi Tony-
Many nagging Mbox problems are solved by using an external powered USB hub... might give that a try.

How about some specifics on your system.

While you're waiting, you might try a powered hub.
Listing specifics about your computer might be helpful as well.

Hi all!!

I had the same problem with my mbox before!!
It has to do with PCI bus latency... will not try to explain it because engelish is not what it should be!!!!

Well... download a program called "double dawg" it solved my problems with clicks!!
I found out that my grafic card took to mush bandwidth on my pci buss..If you have an ATI or geforce grafics card its 99% the problem, because they FORCE THEIR OWN PCI LATENCY TIMER VALUE.. the program also shows every device that use the pci buss..
After I set the latency I never hade the problem again..
Find it here http://www.mark-knutson.com/t3/index.html
There is a free version but you have to set the pci latency everytime u start the computer...
If you buy it you dont have to!! Its only 10$
Read everything about it and how to use it on the webpage..

this really helps, and not only mbox users!!! cheers Bobo
