Looks like Slate's version of HEAT and then some. $99, or FREE if you are on the subscription plan. Interns here putting it thru it's paces. Sounds really good. Added depth and width. Easy to over do it though.

Apples to oranges. I would compare Slate to HEAT.

It's more like Transient Designer mixed with upper mid presence boosts (RTA it), mixed with compression mixed with analog saturation.

how long ago did slate say he was putting new stuff on hold until he got things finished? seems like a LOT of new **** and STILL no FG-X update... it was his biggest project i think for a while.

bloke must be ADDHD. (not a negative poke... i am ADDHD... so i have the right to mis-diagnose others like me lol)

not buyin into his new crap until he fixes the old crap like he promised. ol' boy can't seem to keep his word tho'

Yeah, it's doing all kinds of stuff. I find less is more though. I hit it pretty subtle on a drum bus (hip hop) and it's all good. On the video Slate slammed it to show the effect but it was way too much.

+1 My feelings exactly! I won't buy another one of his product until he start keeping his promises. These days there are a lot of other choices.

+1 and then some. Fix what you promised to fix and stick to your word about not releasing any new plugins until you have accomplished that task. There are actually people out here that take note of what people say in the form of promise's. I mean really.
