Single keystroke toggle for slip/grid modes?
Is there a _single_ key-command to toggle between the slip and grid editing modes?
If not, does anybody know of a program/macro that will perform this task? I would like to assign a "toggle slip/grid" macro to a USB controller. |

Re: Single keystroke toggle for slip/grid modes?
Open the Keyboard control panel, go to -Function Keys-, uncheck the box under -Hot Function Key Settings-, hit OK and close.
Now in PT, F1-F4 = shuffle, slip, grid, spot F5-F10(tools) = zoom, trim, curser, grabber, scrub, pencil There you go! dk

If you're on a TDM system, these one-key commands are already present for you. Just hit the a....z key in the upper left area of the edit window and your F1-F4 keys will go straight to each editing mode. It's not a toggle, but the next best thing as they are close together. Programmable zoom keys are placed on the 1 thru 5 keys on the alpha keys as well. I know this is common knowledge, but maybe you didn't know this was the case now. |

Re: Single keystroke toggle for slip/grid modes?
I believe he wants a single key that will toggle the states -- for that he would need to write some logic... there is no bult in key command which toggles states.

Re: Single keystroke toggle for slip/grid modes?
Rail...you got it...I need a toggle between slip and grid modes with one key...it'd be less keys for me to think about if it were just one....I'd be that much faster too!
I'm gonna phone Contour Designs (makers of the ShuttlePro) and request this feature. I couldn't figure how to do it with Quickeys. |

Re: Single keystroke toggle for slip/grid modes?
I just figured it out!
Use Quickeys' 'sequence' function and toggle the " ` " keystroke twice in the sequence. You just gotta make sure that you're either in slip or grid modes, or you'll be toggling between shuffle and spot modes. You can also disable the sequence pop-up in Quickeys' "Configure Quickeys" menu..."Show Record/Playback Palettes." Quickeys to the rescue again!! Rail, Dan Druff says, "Hi....How's the office?" Re: Single keystroke toggle for slip/grid modes?
I know this is an ancient thread, but it's possible to switch to slip mode selection if you hold the command key while making any editing moves in grid mode.
