Default How do I automate an EQ sweep?

Hello, for instance.

I have a synth part in a song and I put EQ on it and add a bell curve of +3 or +6db and have it sweep from high to low because it sounds cool in playback when I manually sweep it.

My question: How do I record or automate that sweep so its permanent in the song?

All I can do is manually sweep in playback.

Thank you!

Search the manual for Touch mode.

Pro Tools Reference Guide Page 1066.
But I would suggest reading that whole chapter starting on page 1051.

With virtually all AAX plugins you can assign just about any parameter to an automation lane. Refer to the manual on how to add a parameter to an automation lane. Once you've done that, then you can either record the sweep as you playback the track and manipulate the sweep, or draw it in manually. Good luck!
