Default Uninstall/remove PT II (elastic audio glitch)

Trying to puzzle out the Elastic Audio thing, I filed a support case with PT Support. I was instructed to remove 11.0.2 and install 11.1 using the Programs and Features control panel. It must be be somewhere not on the toolbar or in any menu options. Additionally, I have gone to the "Pro Tools Installation manual". (Pdf). It says "to uninstall, refer to the Installation Manual". Which is what I was reading from, with no additional comment. So, how do I uninstall PT 11.0.2?

On what computer(come on folks, how is anyone to help when you give no details of your setup) Given that I am a Windows user, to uninstall PT, go to Control Panel(Category view) and select Uninstall a Program. Once the list is populated, find Pro Tools and right-click on it. Select Change. In the next window, check to also remove the HD driver(and prefs), then click Okay. What I have also been doing(with success) here, is find the Pace 64 item and also uninstall that. Then reboot and run the installer(Run as Admin) for the version you want. The first thing it will tell you is something about "Pending install of Pace..." Click Okay and it will start(by reinstalling the PACE driver you removed earlier). In a moment, it will tell you it needs to reboot(tell it Okay). Once it reboots, it should(in a few moments) pop up with the PT installer so you can finish the install(and reboot again).

BTW, if you would, go to your duplicate of this post and select Edit, then scroll down and find the delete button

The other choice you desribe does not show up either.
Surely I am looking in the wrong place, but I've been looking all day.
BTW, I spend little time on bulletin boards. I suspected I may have double-posted...but I don't see that either.

Default Re: Elastic audio issues

Hi there,

I was experiencing the same issue and managed to fix it today by applying this fix from the avid website:

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...kbase&filter=0

Elastic Audio now works fine and I used it earlier today so its worth trying. I kept the original files and moved them to another file just in case it didn't work but it did.

Hope that helps and have a great day...

...J...

Thanks for taking a look. Pro Tools Support gave a detailed response which did the trick. I have posted their detailed response under another thread, which I suspect is similar if not the same solution.
