Xbench - Which of the 8 results are most important for Pro Tools performance?
I've been testing several internal and external drives with Xbench (Mac).
It gives 8 main results. Sequential Uncached Write [4K blocks] Uncached Write [256K blocks] Uncached Read [4K blocks] Uncached Read [256K blocks] Random Uncached Write [4K blocks] Uncached Write [256K blocks] Uncached Read [4K blocks] Uncached Read [256K blocks] A drive might get good results in most of the results, but be poor in one or two. Which of the eight results are the most important for Pro Tools performance? Are all eight equally important. Thanks for you help. Richard |
