Default Compatible Plugs in PT7

So I just saw the list of plugs here and was curious if this is a list only for HD users or for LE users as well? This would be very frustrating and is actually because most of the plugs I use from that list are "coming soon" and I wanted to upgrade before the end of the year. Definately is making me think twice about upgrading to a full HD system. I might as well keep all my analog gear and only use PT for editing because I don't want to have to purchase new plugs everytime there is an upgrade.

thanks for the link to the list.
here's my question..

If a RTAS optimized plug in is listed as "coming soon"...Will the non-optimized versions continue to work in PT7?
I would hate to (temporarily) lose the use of plugs like Sony, McDSP, BFD.

This is a crucial question for people that are anxious to update to PT7.
Digi?

thanks

If you have Bomb Factory plugs prior to version 4.0, they won't work with PT LE 7 either. I paid $1200 for my Plutonium Bundle a year and a half ago, and now I have to pay an additional $1248.00 just to get them to work. I found this out yesterday and this morning had it confirmed by Digidesign customer service.

yeah jbussey I saw your thread...unbelieveable. sorry to hear that

but my question concerns the WORDING of the list of compatible plugs...

Does "coming soon" mean the older, non-optimized RTAS versions will NOT work at all in PT7???

(or does it just mean that I won't see the improved performance)

someone please clarify

thanks

The non-optimized versions will work in Pro Tools 7, assuming there is a 'Yes' under that column in the compatibility grid.
