HDX and 12.7.1 installed. A few surprises.

I still can't monitor with a native plug in while a channel is in input or record armed?

VCA group fader won't allow record arming or input for its slaves?

The mixer still requires quite a few HDX chips?

Any enlightenment here would be nice!

If you want to monitor native plugs while recording create a aux duplicating the settings (I/O , bussing and plugs) next to it for monitoring and mute the armed track. DSP plugins only can be used for monitoring "live"

hmm someone else needs to answer this one...? by the time i'm using VCA's in a session i'm hardly ever dropping in

mixing still is done on the card so yes. doubled if doing 96k. For larger sessions at high sample rates HDX2 is more useful but for an average to large music mix hdx1 should sail through with a decent mac (12 core)

Any enlightenment here would be nice!

setup -> preferences -> mixing tab: standard vca logic for group attributes

A DSP plugin like Trim' before the native plugin will also work but not record the effect unlike the aux to track which will record the effect.
