Yeah. Different physical HD's though (as in not partitioned).

I had a session yesterday on this PC and it worked fine. Only problem at the moment is that Snow Leopard's not recognizing the internal soundcard even though I put in the driver (kext), so I'm trying to figure that out. It's not a problem for regular sessions but is a major pain if I have to work with quicktime in PT.

I haven't been able to test in Win7 though because I think that from what I can remember I bought PT8 as a download, rather than physical disks. So I only downloaded the Mac installer.

Like dbjp, using the ASUS P6T6 WS. Few BSODs and complete reinstalls of windows in the initial setting up but mainly down to my stupidity. Up and running beautifully now

It's been several years since I last set foot in the music industry but I'm about to give it another go (leaving mastering behind this go round and getting back to the recording and mixing side):

So....been trying to dig through this thread but it's kinda tough...

I'm trying to find a working stable setup easily purchased via newegg to house an HD3 accel PCIe system. Browsing the thread has landed me a few HD2 PCIe compatible mobo's that can still be purchased, but I've no clue if they'd work for HD3. Anything people have confirmed worked with HD3 either aren't PCIe or aren't available through newegg that I can see.

So, has anybody found a working combination for a PCIe HD3 setup that can still be purchased on newegg? Also, any recommendations on a video card for the same system would be appreciated. Thanks!

So this is what I'm looking at for a HD3 Accel PCIe setup:

Asus P6T6 WS Revolution
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131358

Intel Core i7-930 Bloomfield 2.8 GHz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115225

HIS Radeon HD 4670 w/ 1 gig memory
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161314

And this power supply
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341036

I figured I won't bore anyone with drives, ram, and case...

Anybody more familiar than myself with current setups see any problems with this setup? Any suggestions? Will it actually fit all three digi pcie cards and a video card?

Thanks!

Don't see why you couldn't have HD5 in the P6T6 mobo.

Thanks all, guess I'll pull the trigger on this setup. I'll report back after it's all in and built.
