Difficulty installing Pro Tools First in Windows 10

My first three attempts to install Pro Tools First have all ended in the same result:



It gets to "Scanning Plug-Ins" and then freezes there.

Sandra Report:

First attempt resulted in the two pictures on the left, second attempt resulted in the picture on the right. Clicking "Help" provided no solutions.

Your computer is waaaaay under-spec'd for Pro Tools. You might try Reaper or Audacity, but forget PT.
Processor AMD Athlon(tm) X2 Dual Core Processor 3250e 1.50 GHz This processor is way too slow and only dual core

Installed RAM 4.00 GB (3.75 GB usable) 8GB is dead minimum and 16 is the recommended minimum

Dang. Thanks for the info. I reckon it's time to upgrade the old machineroo.

I do happen to have Reaper, so I guess I'll go back to trying to learn that.

In the meantime, I have an Alesis Multimix 8. Any idea whether that'll interface with Reaper smoothly?
