Default MIDI Issue With M-Audio Fast Track Pro & Command|8

I'm running Pro Tools M-Powered on Windows with an M-Audio Fast Track Pro and a Command|8. The problem I'm having is, I can't seem to get any MIDI signal, in or out, through the system; but both the Command|8 & Fast Track Pro transmit MIDI signal fine in Reason. I was told that I would have to go into Windows and make the Command|8 or Fast Track the default MIDI device. I've done this the only way I know how and I'm still not getting any signal in or out of Pro Tools. Anyone know what they problem may be?
