Default Playback Engine issues.

I recentely crossgraded to Pro Tools 10 and I get an error message that says"The current playback engine does not support a sample rate of 44.1 KHz'" Pro Tools then closes and does not allow me to adjust any settings. I tried opening PT with my midi devices off and the same thing occured. I then tried it with my digi 003 off, it said to turn it on and it worked. This is the workaround I have to use for now but I wanted to ask how do I fix it. When I go to hardware the clock source is internal but the sample rate is at 48khz, and I can't change it. Below is my sandra report.

What exact version of Pro Tools 10? Are you sure you ave the playback engine you think selected and not an internal audio device? What exact driver version for the interface did you install? if you hold down the 'N' key while starting up Pro Tools what interfaces does it let you select as a playback engine?

I'm running PT10 ver 10.3.2 setup-->hardware--> clock source says internal the sample rate is greyed out at 48khz. when I hold down the N key it does not let me select an interface as a playback engine. How do I verify that I have the playback engine I think selected and not an internal audio device? I'm also using the 9.0.2.65 003 driver which seems to be the latest one. I appreciate the help. I just uninstalled the 003 driver and reinstalled. I'll let you know how it works after a reboot.

What exactly is showing as the playback engine in the setup>Playback Engine dialog (even if you can't select another).

And you installed the latest 003 drivers? Following the install instructions when you installed Pro Tools 10?

Sounds like you need to install the correct driver to get the 003 recognised.
