Fastes way to merge midi notes
I have a session with several instrument tracks, all containing midi notes for drums, and I want to move them all to one instument track. But I am having problems, finding a quick and smart to do that, copy and paste didn't really work, drag and drop doesn't replace instead of merging.... any hints ?
thanx

Re: Fastes way to merge midi notes
Select SOURCE region
Edit/Copy Select TARGET region Edit/Paste Special/Merge Not sure whether there's a faster way to merge several tracks.

Re: Fastes way to merge midi notes
Richard, is right, there is no one click operation to merge MIDI device tracks. The fastest method is to use your QWERTY keyboard shortcuts:
Ctrl/Command+C - Copy P - Move Edit Selection Up ; - Move Edit Selection Down Alt/Option+M - Merge Ctrl/Command+V - Paste

Re: Fastes way to merge midi notes
Export MIDI tracks to a MIDI file and import to a new track.

Re: Fastes way to merge midi notes
Good one.
I use QuicKeys, and then I put the kettle on.

Re: Fastes way to merge midi notes
Note to self, and those interested: it's not enough to have hidden instrument tracks deactivated - they must be muted too.

Re: Fastes way to merge midi notes
Isn't that weird. Muted too. Who would have figured. Perhaps this is a good feature for Ideascale. Hidden tracks not included in Export.
