Default Tech Support-Mix Plus

Just bought a mix plus but expected more DSP. I'm wondering if the cards should say "mix plus" on them, maybe a error in shipping happened? When I do the test all is well as far as setting it up correctly, My DSP Gas shows "Mix farm 1" and "Mix farm 2" passed. So I guess my question is, should the cards say "mix plus farm 1" and "mix plus farm 2" in the window?
Chris
P.S.
I guess I'm not clear on what the exact difference is between mix and mix plus except of course more DSP power.

You mentioned older farms and Mix +. If I were you I would list ALL the farms you have new and old and the Mac OS system you are using (in fact your whole set up) in time for Tech Support to see all the info they will need to advise you on Monday when they get in.

MIX+ consists of a Mix Core card and a Mix Farm card. Procrastinator doesn't work on MIX hardware , which is why it's only showing up on your DSP farm, and running out of DSP. Not all DSP is the same, in fact, MIX cards have 3 different types of DSP processors, SRAM DRAM and No RAM. And the DSP chips that the MIX cards use are different, much more powerful chips than the PCI DSP farms use. Try the Long Delay plug-in instead of Procrastinator, and you should notice a huge increase of instantiations.

Thanks, typical guy and never read the manual about the procrastinator. Found it and understand. Must mean that my farm card works with the mix system.

Thanks!

Still would like to have an answer as far as the mix plus question. Anyone with a mix plus out there?

what does the plus stand for, mix core plus a mix farm?

how many mix farms should I see under my DSP usage with my basic mix plus system that I just bought.

Yes, the mix plus has the farm card while the standard mix system does not.

You will see 2 cards in the DPS usage window, your mix core and your mix farm, both of which have 6 chips.

Guess I'm a typical guy too. Did not read manual and wondered why Procrastinator did not work.
Duh which is why I found this thread on search. But will it be rereleased for Mix?

Procrastinator is not going to updated for Mix compatibility. It was replaced by the Long Delay DigiRack plug-in.

However, you still may use it if you install a DSP Farm in your system.
