possible to mute lef/right side of stereo file?
Is it possible to mute/delete either the right or left side of a stereo wav file imported into pro tools?
I can't seem to find out how to do this. |

Yeah, go to the Audio Regions List and identify your stereo track, beside this track on the left hand side should be a arrow facing towards the track name, click on this, this opening the stereo track into left and right. You can click and drag the left or the right into a mono track. Deleting or muting the left or right as you wish. Hope this helps. filosofem

Re: possible to mute lef/right side of stereo file
Here's another method.
In the edit window, create two mono audio tracks just below the stereo track. Highlight the stereo track, and using the Grabber tool, drag the stereo track down into the two mono tracks. You'll see the outlined stereo regions divide as you drag them over the two mono tracks. Remember to pan the two mono tracks. |
