I'm using it on 7.4 HD3 Accel, MacPro 2x2.66 with 8GB RAM. I like it a lot, but I would recommend bouncing it to an audio file after you get the result you want. I've opened sessions with it where the room reverb setting has stopped working, and I've had pop and click problems on larger sessions that I fixed by recording it to a track and then making it inactive. I don't know if these are bugs or if it just uses a lot of resources.

looks like your system should have enough power. i´am on a good old g5 dual2gig with 7GB RAM and don´t have any rtas instruments at all but sometimes "large" sessions... did you contact audioease about this behaviour? and thanks to everyone else for your input!

AudioEase is an amazing company. They're at the top of the heap when it comes to convolution reverb, and now this product.

I'd say the only drawback to SpeakerPhone is for studios selling their time by the hour. This is a tool that can do things that used to take a LOT of time to accomplish with just a few clicks of the mouse. The result... happier clients, but fewer billable hours.

We've been having something happen recently. We have speakerphone instanced on two tracks, and suddenly one track stops passing audio. The plugs in front of speakerphone are still passing audio, so it's getting hung up in speakerphone. Taking speakerphone out of the chain restores playback for the track. Re-instancing speakerphone works for a while, then cuts out again. Meanwhile, there is no interruption in playback on the other track that has it. Weird, huh?

I seem to remember Cosmonaut doing this. Anybody else have this happen to them? I couldn't find any mention of this on the AudioEase boards.
