Default popping sounds on playback/mbox ptle

after recording about 7 or 8 songs, i went back to listen and tweak, and now i'm hearing popping sounds on all the songs and on all the tracks. i have listened on both headphones and speakers.
has anyone heard of this before? it's a bit irratating to say the least.
thanks for your time.

Do you have XP service pack 1 installed? It is a requirement, and not having it installed has been known to cause "pops and clicks".

I had the same thing after upgrading to 6.4. Then I did the 6.4cs9. . . or what ever it's called and the pop's went away.

Happened to me once. All I needed to do was to shutdown PT's, relaunched PT, re-opened the session and no more pops....I haven't experienced it since then.

tried it all, and they are still there.
i have noticed though that when isolating the tracks the popping is only audible when the music/signal is jumping.

have you cut and pasted a wav file and hearing clicks between the edits or is it random pops and clicks?

I get a "pop" when I punch in and out.
I'm using a Digi 001, and it seems to happen only when I'm punching in guitar tracks from my POD XT into the 1 &2 inputs on the Digi 001 box. I'm not changing levels, or anything else. Just punching in to repair bad chords.
Any suggestions?
