Default Stereo and Mono question

I have a MBox2 Mini with PT LE 7.0. Why when I record my guitar(which is plugged directly onto the MBox) I only have half of the actual wav mapping(horizontally speaking)? Everyone else I see record thru Pro Tools I see the entire WAV file being recorded(top and bottom). I tried selecting "stereo" when inserting a new track but that does not matter and it does not correct the problem. Is there a difference when you select 'Audio', from 'Instrument' when creating the track? OMG, so many questions... hopefully you guys can help me.

Thanks so much!
Daubian

Default Re: Stereo and Mono question

if you mean VERTICAL vs HORIZONTAL then try turning off DRAW WAVEFORMS RECTIFIED in you protools preferences ...

also, audio tracks are for recording audio, Instrument tracks & MIDI tracks are for MIDI notes and controller information

BTW RTFM

cheers

Daubian,
1) you are posting in the wrong forum. This is for Post and Surround as the title suggests. I only say this because you are more likely to get replies to your questions in the Protools LE forum.
2) What Geo said...RTFM.
