All good here on cMP5,1 with High Sierra Core Audio PT Ultimate. Except any plugin window disappears when clicking in the clip area of the edit window. Clicking all other areas of the edit window, plugin window stays open as expected.
When the plugin window isn't targeted it stays as normal.

Edit: Just found out the window stays when clicking in the same track that the plugin is on in the edit window.

Edit 2: Just trashed all PT prefs etc. AGAIN - now all good!

Ironically, the 2018.12 HDX system at the studio is in a really bad mood today. A simple export job that should have taken me 5 minutes is taking ages because the thing keeps beachball-ing on me.

It's making me think I might upgrade sooner rather than later, once I've confirmed all the backups are up to date...

I tried it out yesterday for a few minutes and it worked flawlessly. I'll give it a thorough go later today.

I have my Boot on a SSD via PCIE and main PT sessions on a separate SSD.. Super fast booting the computer and launching a session. I also have Waves Mercury +Abbey Roads Collection + Studio Classics Collection +SSL 4000 Collection. So when launching a 5.1 with Waves.... I leave and go watch a season of GOT and by the time I'm done, it's all loaded, so hoping this will help a LOT:

Reduced session load time with Waves plug-ins instantiated (PT-246285)

Still getting 9173 errors, and on one session the spinning beach ball with flashing play button. Thanks Avid...

Default Pro Tools 2019 !

Protools 2019.5 works flawlessly over here. I’m on an iMac Pro 10core with 10.13.6 , didn’t have time to go to 10.14 still since I want to do that with a fresh system reinstall.

I occasionally get some midi notes hanging while changing plugins during playback but apart from that I really love the uninterrupted playback

The thing I love even more is the new control+shift click on a track to scroll it into view. Since I do a lot of 60+ track sessions it really speeds up my workflow when I quickly want to have a track I work on in the mix window displayed in the edit window and vice versa.

Have you checked that one of your plugins isn't causing the issues?

Terrible DSP spikes come back with hyper-threading on. They go away with hyper-threading off. Otherwise no complaints yet. Commit/bounce to disk might be a little quicker.

Mojave, 2009 Mac pro dual 6 core 3.6, 32 gb ram, OWC ssd, etc...

Commit/freeze the same here: disappointing. Hyperthreading I don't know, fake cores haven't ever been any good so I stick to the ones I actually have.

Well I went ahead and update to Mojave 10.14.4 and 2019.5 since 2019.5 supports Mojave.... also noticed in the release notes for Mojave it mentions about improved connectivity to audio devices. seems to be running ok so far loading different sessions. I did get an error prompt on the first play. Cant remember the number but mentioned removing native plugs if it occurred again..etc...etc... haven't seen it since and didn't remove any native plugs.

only thing I have noticed is it does seem to use a bit more CPU than 2018.12 but all in all seems just as solid so far except for the prompt I mentioned above... maybe due to the fact I had the internet connected via WiFi
