Default 2018.1 to 2018.10: No improvements, only new bugs

So I was very happy with 2018.1, it was a very stable release for me with the only downside being the "The video engine was unable to stop" bug.

In the hopes that 9 versions later the bug would have long been fixed I installed 2018.10, and soon found out that it's not fixed at all.

Instead, new bugs have been introduced:

- When renaming a clip, I can not paste text in front of text. It always pastes at the end of the text.
- Sometimes: clip volume gives black bar and freezes for a moment.
- Total video engine failure (After clicking "re-launch video engine" the screen got black Windows auto- logged in again, very weird.

On top of that, I can literally not find a single improvement over version 1. What is actually improved?? (Edit: Oh I know HD is rebranded as 'Ultimate' ...)

Win10, 8 core i7 etc.

Track presets. Very usable for me.

Clip effect, plugins search, some midi improvements were very expected by me.

I've noticed tons of improvements, many of them have made a huge impact for the better in my studio!

YMMV but as far as I'm concerned AVID are doing amazing work! Makes me love working in my studio.

It's more stable. That's the main thing.

I take the direction of 2018 with some improvements and stability work as very good and want Avid to keep doing what they are.

For me, this whole year has been moving in a positive direction. I'm sure there are those who would like to see things move even faster, but all in all, i feel the general direction is encouraging.
