Possibly odd behavior when loop recording over existing clip
I've just noticed that if I rename a clip, and then re-record, the "renamed" clip just gets overwritten by the new clip, without being placed into a new playlist lane. The old clip basically just disappears (except I can still access it via the clip list).
From that point on, if I let the record continue to loop, it will then start creating playlist track lanes as usual. But that first clip gets overwritten. Now I can obviously just grab the old clip from the clip list, but I seem to remember that it used to automatically put the existing clip into a new lane before overwriting it. This makes it easy for me to maintain a little group of "good" takes in my playlist. Is that expected behavior? I recently upgraded from 12.5.x to 12.7 and I'm wondering if this is new. |

Re: Possibly odd behavior when loop recording over existing clip
"Automatically create new playlist when loop recording" is enabled, by the way.
