Default Headphones I/O configuration

Pro Tools 9 HD Native
Pro Tools HD 192 16x16 analog interface
Mac Pro tower, 12 core
32 GB RAM
OSX: 10.7
C/24 control surface

Even though I've been a PT driver since before it was called Pro Tools, I can't for the life of me get my I/O configurations to simply feed the main outs (1 & 2 in a PT session: 1 & 3 from the HD interface for the L&R surround sound feed to the C/24) to a another stereo output to feed the input of my headphone matrix. To put it more simply, I just want to split the signal the is going to my stereo monitors and simultaneously send it to my headphone matrix.

PLEASE don't describe how to create sends for each track to AUX or Master faders: 1) I know how to do this, and 2) I don't want to create dozens of unnecessary sends that consume processing power and will be turned off by low latency monitoring. I just want to send my main stereo monitor feed to Analog 9 & 10, while maintaining the feed to the monitors.

Thanks!

Will holding down the Command key and clicking on the Master output (1/2) in your session reveal a menu that will allow you to do what you want?

Thanks for the suggestion, Greg. I'll try it when I get back to the studio in the morning.

BTW...I'm also from the Twin Cities, though I've been on the Gulf Coast for many years. Raise a pint at Kieran's Pub fer me, Bucko!

Just found my answer (pasted below)...aint manuals great.

I was going about it backassed by creating a new output path for the heaadphone matrix and overlapping the Main out and Headphone out.
---------------------------------------------------

To route a Pro Tools output channel pair to
multiple audio interface output ports:
1 Choose Setup > I/O.
2 Click the Output tab.
3 Click the Output selector for an interface
channel pair, just below an audio interface icon.
4 From the pop-up menu, select a physical port
pair (such as Analog 1–2) to route to the corresponding
Pro Tools channel pair (such as A 1–2)
in the Path Name column on the left.
5 Start-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac)
the same Output selector and select an additional
output pair from the same pop-up menu.
The output name updates with a plus sign (“+”)
before it to indicate that multiple output ports
are selected. In the pop-up menu, each physical
port pair assigned to that Pro Tools output pair
is indicated by a check mark.
6 Repeat the above steps to select additional
output destinations.
7 Click OK to save changes and close the
I/O Setup.

You do know that the C24 uses outputs 1&3 for left and right(2 is dedicated to the center of 5.1).

I tried using the protocol outlined by seafra. This would not work for me in Setup/IO, but I can make individual track output adjustments by track. Is there some setting I'm missing. I'm using PT 12.7.1. Thanks!
