Digi001 + MTPAV + ADAT Sync
Hello,
In order to lay back a 16 or 24 channel session done on the Digi001 back to the ADAT, how does one maintain the correct sync position while throwing back the tracks to the ADAT in 3 passes (8 channels at a time)? Will the MTPAV be able to handle all the sync requirements? After all, Digi001 can slave to the ADAT via optical sync right? Any help is appreciated. |

Re: Digi001 + MTPAV + ADAT Sync
I do this successfully with a Digital Time Peice. The word clock coming out of the Adat sync cable is the same clock at the same time coming out of the optical cable. The sync cable also carries positional sync of course. Set pro tools to optical and (in my case) set the DTP to ADAT. It locks great!!! I've tried it other ways. I tried an anolog transfer to/from ADATs using SMPTE and Spdif sync(this is how I sync my 2" machine) with no better results than the optical/9 pin/ DTP thing. So if the MTP AV can do this stuff, then it will work
