I met GM @ AES in Amsterdam in 2001 he mentioned that he was working on compressor plug-in - how much R&D do you really need.
I think it is now fall into the urban myth category now

The compressor is actually for sale, even though it's only TDM. You have to buy it from GM himself. But who knows, it might become available as AAX?
