Default Online or local backup ?

Hi.

Anyone using a online backup service here ?

I currently use my old imac (with an external usb disk connected) as my backup server. I'm looking for a good online solution.

Just upgraded my free google drive account to 100GB, but it doesn't work well. It doesn't show the same thing in the web browser as it does through the google drive software. Also can't find a easy way to delete old files, so it quickly fills up available space. In addition am not allowed to delete some files I'v uploaded.

What do you guys use ?

Is it really a possibility to online backup?
I use about 70 to 100gig per month, if I don't include any vision files.
I couldn't imagine uploading that much data, or paying to store it.

Your best bet is to just find an offsite place you can bring a hard drive to unless it's a small amount of data. Trying to upload 50-100gb over your internet connection is really time consuming. Most internet services that have fast download speeds still have ridiculously slow upload speeds.

I backup twice onto 2 separate external hard drives. It works/affordable/fast.

Backblaze - Unlimited storage $50/year

Set it to not back up file types or folders that you don't want backed up (.mov etc Picture is not mine to backup). Restores work perfectly, hard drive restore option available for large amounts of data, auto purges files it hasn't seen for 30 days(?) but will backup external drives.

Couple this with local external backups etc and you should be good to go.
