Default 192 Expansion Card Question

I understand that the 192 will support 16 simultaneous inputs and outputs.
Is it possible to configure the 192 for 16 analog ins and outs by filling the expansion slot AND replacing the digital card with an analog expansion?

Right now, we have an HD2 rig with two 192s, one with the A/D expansion, and one with the D/A expansion (for 24 channels of analog i/o).
It works fine, but every time we move between another rig that has three 192s with no expansions, we need to go into the i/o setup and rearrange some things. This isn't a big deal, but it's inconvenient having to explain or execute this procedure every time.

Or is there another way to make sure that the i/o setup of each rig matches up. We aren't using any digital i/o so imagine it would be possible, but I thought I'd ask here before I open it up.

Thanks.

Nope. Sort of like Hot Dogs and Buns.

You could use the DIO with something like the Lynx box but not sure if ADC is right or if that helps go between rooms.

i would save the various i/o configs and re-import them when/as needed... good luck, SB
