Anyone have a place for free samples?

Try using a transient to trigger (via gate) a low signal w/ signal generator. You could always add verb to trail it out. I'm not exactly sure what you are looking for though. Tonal or atonal? Realistic or synthetic? You could also try some low octave samples/patches in Reason, or you could find something natural that makes a thud, mic it, then FX it (I once miked an empty beer can hitting a hard floor, then added a ton of chamber verb . . . not a "thud," but crazy!).
