No Input in Certain Channels — Pro Tools Aggregate
Thanks in advance for anyone's help here.
I'm trying to use 10 microphones on my drumkit with 2 Presonus Quantum interfaces daisy chained together via Thunderbolt. I am unable to get signal to Pro Tools from the 2nd interface's inputs 5 thru 8, yet I am able to get signal through all the other inputs on both interfaces. Inputs 5 thru 8 do show signal coming through on the interface, but not in Pro Tools. I'm using Pro Tools Aggregate in Audio MIDI Setup on my Mac Pro, as I've read that's the only option I have in order to use more than one interface at a time. When I open I/O Setup in Pro Tools, Analog tracks 1-8 are for my 1st Quantum interface's mic inputs, and Analog tracks 29-36 are for my 2nd Quantum interface. The signal is coming through just fine on 29-32, but not from 33 thru 36. I'm using macOS Mojave version 10.14.3 on a Mac Pro (Late 2013). I'm also using the latest Pro Tools (2019.12.0). I have updated the firmware on my interfaces. Image of my I/O Setup: https://ibb.co/S5CSN8W Image of my Audio MIDI Setup: https://ibb.co/ZhfbFtC

Re: No Input in Certain Channels — Pro Tools Aggregate
The answer is simple - PT can only use the first 32 I/O when running a non-Ultimate system.

Re: No Input in Certain Channels — Pro Tools Aggregate
Even then you need HDN (64 i/o) or HDX (unlimited) -- it is a limitation of how PT uses CoreAudio, first 32 i/o only.

Re: No Input in Certain Channels — Pro Tools Aggregate
I haven't checked in a while, but you used to be able to drag stuff around in the aggregate device to order the I/O. PT will recognize the first 32 it is presented. Or if you're not using the ADAT I/O and if it can be disabled, try that. The ADAT would be eliminated from the aggregate.

Yes, whatever you set up before PT you get first 32 i/o

Re: No Input in Certain Channels — Pro Tools Aggregate
Thank you all. I was able to rearrange my mic inputs to make it work. It's disappointing that Avid limits you to the first 32 inputs. Unfortunately I can't find a way to rearrange or disable the interface's inputs in Pro Tools, Audio MIDI Setup or Presonus' interface software.
