Default Goodbye PT. Hello SO.

I like pro tools but wow. There are too many issues and software problems. Avid needs some better developers to fix these issues.

Oh and before you asked what am i still doing here? the answer is simple, i read the forums every once in a while to shed some light to those who are looking for a DAW that just works and lets you focus on the music.
That DAW in my personal experience is Studio One, the learning curve was almost none existent and sofware crashes are a thing of the past.
I've work in projects with all live instruments (lots of audio) and i've also worked in project with mostly VI's (losts of MIDI) and guess what? not a single crash.
Studio One 3 is way more stable than PT 12 for what i do which is music.

Wait, you've been gone for two years and your involved in this thread?

What does that say about you?

Personally, I'm happy to have Pro Tools, Studio One and Logic available to me. Helps me be flexible. The different workflow and features often give me new ideas of how to work with the other DAWs.

In all honesty. Sometimes I wish I just went with Ableton. If only the 003 console worked with it

Ableton seems like a good addition to Pro Tools. If it's a "one or the other" Pro Tools' maybe not the right choice for your workflow.
