Default Are all FW drives created equal?

OK, I have seen a lot of people saying this drive is best or that drive but I want to know why!

I have heard a few people mention the FireVue drive in particular, but what makes it so great? Is it that funky little neon bar? Can't I just use a generic FW 911 chasis and get the same performance?
