Default How would you print/record your click track?

Beginners question, sorry. I am trying to record to a click using the click plug-in thats included with pt7. I want the click to show up on its own track so while editing/tightening other tracks I can use it as a reference point.

Note:

While playing around I kind of got it to print but it just printed these really thin audio waves that were not very useable. Also, the sound that got printed just sounded like "ticks" etc with no cow bell accent (or other accent sounds that are offered).

Any insight would help - thanks

You can select the "Bar/Beat" grid for this (as opposed to samples or minutes/seconds). You can set the number of subdivisions as well (grid = quarter note, grid = eighth note, grid = 16th note, etc. This selector is just to the left of the grid itself. Beautiful thing is that the grid lines show up underneath your audio waveforms when you're in grid mode.

If you must print the click, create an aux track, insert the click, and select an available buss from the output selector on the aux track. Now create and audio track, and select that same buss from the input selector on that audio track. Raise the fader on the aux track to get a stronger signal into the audio track. Accenting can be done from within the click plug-in. Record arm the audio track, and away you go.
