Question Is HEAT supported & HDN + PT 10.0.2 ?

Hi,

as per the new update :
"The following AAX plug-ins and add-ons are now available for purchase on Mac and Windows operating systems:
• HEAT"

Is this Mean HEAT is now supported under HDN system with PT 10.0.2?

Thanks
AK

Obviously it's AAX now, he's asking if it's AAX Native, or still just DSP. The Phoenix II is native now, so it would make sense for Heat to available as well.

I meant HDX/TDM only

That's too bad. I switched from an HD 2 to HDN system without losing the Phoenix ... I've never tried Heat but it would've been nice to be able to give it a whirl.

I don't see why this wouldn't be added to HD Native and CPTK down the line. It's a separate paid for plug-in after all($500), which is another revenue source for Avid. These things usually trickle down the PT line over time. At the very least it should be available in HDN for cross compatibility with HDX.

It's not a plugin. It's a different rendering of the mix engine that adds control over it.

Not an "insert" type of plug-in per se but a global software plug-in, just like the mix engine and EA engine. Heat sounds pretty amazing on the many percussion tracks I get sent to mix. I'm sure it will make it's way to the native line over time.
