Pro Tools Audio Playback only in Left Channel

Hey everybody. I'm new here so tell me if I'm doing this incorrectly...

Out of no where, one time when working with a PT session that had been fine moments before, the audio only started playing back through the left channel. It shows levels for the right channel and bounces to disk fine.

I can open other PT sessions and playback is fine.

So far, i tried trashing the prefs and restarting. Also, playback is working fine with other programs using this audio card (ProFire 610).

Previously, when trying to open sessions that were pretty massive, from PT HD2, the audio would only playback from the left channel. But this file, I created on my system, and it is just as simple as most my other sessions that work fine.

other info: I'm opening off a 500gB Lacie Rugged HFSJ Hard drive that is connected via USB 2.0. I have many other PT Sessions on this hard drive that open and operate fine, and a lot of free space on my external hard drive and C drive.

I thought this info was going to be shown at the bottom of my post, but I guess not. So here are my details:

2.0 GHz, 2 GB ram
Windows XP (service pack 3)
Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.4 & Music Production Toolkit 2
M-Audio ProFire 610

The I/O setup is your friend. Check to make sure the virtual outs are mapped to the correct hardware outs.

This may have nothing to do with your problem but Firewire, not USB is recommended for external Hard drives. See: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=283855
