Default Volume indexing...

Hello there nice people,

First off have a GREAT and happy, healthy 2004 !!
I am looking for an answer to this; How does NTFS disk volume indexing in Windows XP effect general PT LE functionality ? Is it required/recommended, or a no-no ?
One would think DigiBase can really take advantage of it being enabled.
So...?

cheers,

Great, thanx again Nikki-K...

I've also had it off for all media drives, just C:\ main boot/system partition had it enabled.
Turning it off as per your advice....OK, gone.

There is little , maybe not so important additional info I'd like to get. So, anyone who can help chime in please..In the edit window (LE 6.11) between the edit mode buttons and all the timeline/markers, etc area there is a darker strip with Grid/Cursor/nudge values and the current position indicator. To the right, there are two green/red dots with markings of " Timeline" & "Session" I don't have any clue what these indicate. Couldn't find any reference to them either in the PT Ref' guide.
Forgive me if it's something obvious or self explanatory...BUT I don't know.

cheers,
