Pro Tools 10 and 4gb memory limit
How much memory can PT10 handle? Is there still a limit (on Mac anyway) to about 4gb?

Re: Pro Tools 10 and 4gb memory limit
if you are using HD or the CPTK, you can have memory beyond 4gb's of RAM be utilized for the timeline cache.....

Re: Pro Tools 10 and 4gb memory limit
The total memory for the main PT app will effectively be limited to around 3.5GB until the app goes 64-bit, hopefully sometime next year. Like Charles points out, you can at least offload the disk cache to a separate (64-bit!) process using the new "extended disk cache". This might buy you a couple hundred MB in your main PT memory usage, but I haven't done any testing to confirm that.
