Ilok help

Howdy all.

Ive just downloaded the new waves 7 platinum and cla comps. I tried to update my ilok on the ilok site, but my ilok is too full to complete the request. Is there anyway to surrender the old 6.0.3 licience first, so i have enough room on the ilok for the new licenses, or do i need to get a second ilok??

I have an iLok for Waves only, yesterday it had all available Waves V6 licenses installed (Mercury TDM Bundle + SSL Bundle). Today I updated to V7 and all my iLok licenses were replaced by V7 licenses without a hassle. There is no trace of any V6 licenses on my iLok anymore, only V7 licenses are present (100 V7 licenses in total). Btw, I did not need to manually select a surrender of V6 licenses, they were surrendered automatically...

So it should be perfectly possible to upgrade to V7 with automatic surrender of the V6 licenses and not needing another iLok, it worked here. Unless you were trying to install a greater number of V7 licenses then V6 licenses present on the iLok, maybe then you can get an 'iLok is full' error if your Ilok was fulled up to the limit to start with, I suppose...

Btw, the only small problem I had after installing the V7 software was I needed to manually delete the V6 waveshells from my plug-in folder

Worth mentioning that if you have TLC then those versions can't be replaced/over written by the new updates.

i had to buy a new ilok for v7 and my tlc v6 auths are still on my original waves ilok from many years ago!!!

In do not have TLC versions, so indeed that's why the surrendering of all my V6 licenses went fine...
