Default Giving me some trouble!

Duc's! I need some help

my old mo board crapped out on me, so I said screw it with the warranty and bought a new one, ASUS P5Q Pro.

Put everything back together in the case, turn it on, computer "sounds" like it's working, but I didn't get the BIOS beep and the monitor won't come on (the old "no input signal received" message on the screen on 2 separate monitors).

I've done 2 days worth of plugging, unplugging, checking connections, etc. I am certain that the vid. card works, as I plugged it into my roommates computer to test.

A few hours ago I managed to unplug and then replug the Monitor's power and signal cables in the right order and I finally got signal on the screen, but I didn't have my windows CD on hand and shut it down, confident that I had conquered the best. Came back with CD in hand and it was no longer receiving signal...

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've got a really important project that's depending on my computer's ability to turn on!

Thanks

Have you considered it might be a bad power supply?

Also make sure you connect the 4 pin (often missed) power plug from the PSU to the motherboard.

Just bought a brand new PSU as I thought that was the problem to begin with before I realized my mobo was bad, it's working fine... I might try to swap it out though.

4 pin is connected... I must have let all the smoke out.
