DigiTech!!! I need info on a Project / Disk i/o PCI - Help?
Ok, so I've spent hours looking through the Legacy archives on Digi's site, and saw stuff in the Pro Pix that Identifies these cards (Project -vs- Disk), however there is some contradictory information in there as well.... I think.
In the Pro Pix section under the listing for the Project card: http://archive.digidesign.com/suppor...rojectPCI.html it states that the Project card does not support TDM. The listing for the Disk card states TDM is supported with built in TDM connector. Do both cards have the TDM connector? It also states that cards beginning FE are Project and FD are Disk. I guess I'm confused. My card DOES begin FE and says "Project - Disk i/o, PCI", but it has the TDM connector. Also.... I wish I could find this again, but I stumbled across it and can't find it now. Somewhere else on the site, I saw a description that stated that the two different cards could be identified by a "hand written marking' on the card that would be (I can't remember) a 1 or 2, or A or B, depending on which card it actually is. I'm just wondering if it is a Disk, in which case I may have a use for it.... If it's a project, and only 8 tracks, I'm gonna put it in a frame and hang it on the wall.... Haaa... just to be dumb. Aside from that.... How many tracks does a Disk i/o support??? (Keep in mind I'll be running whatever core along with 2 DSP Farm PCI cards) How many tracks does a D24 support? And finally, this all brings me back here: http://duc.digidesign.com/showflat.p...rt=&PHPSESSID= Providing details of how I want to run with a Mix Core & the 2 DSP Farms, and asking for help as far as what it'll do (tracks, etc), what computer (G3/G4), OS, etc. THANK YOU SO MUCH IF YOU CAN HELP. I need a B Room.

You have a Project card.
Can track 8 tracks at 24 bit with a 888/24. I'd just use a cheap 888/20 Good for a demo studio or recording rehearsals. Good luck, happy holidays and all...
