MOTU 8 PRE and 002R
I'm thinking of upgrading my outboard ADAT converters and wanted to know if anyone has used a MOTU 8pre with a 002. I know that PTLE doesn't support Core Audio, but will that be an issue if I am just using this as an 8 channel ADC? Any help would be great. I want to get on this ASAP. Thanks.

Re: MOTU 8 PRE and 002R
I haven't used the 8PRE personally but i have a friend who has a 896HD and i have to be honest i was really impressed with the quality of his drum recordings that he recorded via 16bit 44.1 in to Cubase on a PC. His acoustic space wasn't great and he was using some failry mediocre Red 5 audio drums mics but the sound was way superior to that of previous recordings on an 002.
Cheers
