avid application manager problem
I'm hoping that maybe someone here can help with this.
I have tried for months now to get the avid application manager to run and it just will not no matter what I do. I have a new iMac Pro running 10.13.6 High Sierra, and even though this goes back several versions I just looked up the newest version tonight to try one last time downloaded it and installed and even this newest October 10th version will not run. Every version I have tried will install fine and when I start it up it sits on "initializing" for a long time and then eventually goes to the "cannot connect to avid servers" error. When I click the sign in button it will not give me a prompt to enter my email and password. I know avid servers are 100% contactable over my internet service because the app manager on my windows machine works just fine. For whatever reason, this one on my mac does this everytime and I cannot get it to work. over multiple versions of this program: I have uninstalled with the avid uninstaller I have uninstalled manually I have tried the uncheck data collection box thing I have restarted the app man helper multiple times. I have never turned the OSX firewall on The Avid folder is definitely getting created in the Caches folder like the troubleshooting says to check for. I know I can just download everything manually if I want to update, but it would be so nice to update it all in one place like this software is designed to do especially since I can't find any reason that it shouldn't be working correctly. I would be so grateful if anyone could help me out with this.

Should work but it doesn’t Would be nice but it’s not essential Could they fix it? Yes but when, no one knows It has always been the community of users recommendation to remove the App Man and do it all manually Because we all have other things to do besides lament on why Avid can’t get some basic things right.....to be quite honest is they screwed this app up, it wouldn’t bother me in the least as long as it reduced their buggy ops in PT.
