Sorry for the confusion this has caused. As you can see from the posts/threads merged here, others have received similar emails. Looking into what happened, but as your account shows your Upgrade Plan is active through 10/31/2016. If you decide to renew you can do that any time prior to expiration (there is a grace period) and that will extend your expiration out to 10/31/2017.

Default Subscription about to expire??

I got an email from avid, 'Your subscription is about to expire'. Now,, that's nice to know, but I've only had it for 4 months, and still have 8 months left! So I'm guessing that they think in this case the early bird gets the worm? The problem being this is the only thing PT's related I've done today. Most of the day back on S One! Presonus has obviously noticed the DUC problems and giving away great deals on crossgrades etc.!!! I don't think I'll ever let PT's go as long as the price per year stays reasonable. But on the other hand, its been real nice to not have even ONE worry about the daw software, and work ONLY on MUSIC!!! What a beautiful day its been!! Mike

we all got the email ... it is the 1st reminder .. do not be surprised if they come more freq as you get closer to your expiration date .. all subscriptions do this .. nothing out of the ordinary

Default Anyone else get subscription renewal emails that are wrong?

I recently recently got the email below but my subscription which I just checked doesnt renew til Oct31 2016. I hope they dont cut me off accidentally. I am going to assume this is an erroneous email but I wonder if anyone else has gotten one of these and had their PT expired incorrectly?

We hope you enjoyed receiving 12 months of Pro Tools upgrades through your All Access upgrade plan. Your current plan may have already expired or is due to expire soon. If your plan has not expired, please renew your All Access upgrade plan through your Avid reseller or your Avid Master Account to continue to receive the latest updates.

Note: If your plan has already expired or you choose not to renew your plan, you will stop receiving software updates. However, your Pro Tools perpetual license will continue to work for the last version received. You can reinstate an upgrade plan after it expires by purchasing an Upgrade Plan Reinstatement for Pro Tools.

I should be on the 12.5 bug fix list ... or list for ex. 12.6 .. for a year. I stopped my plugin update plan... but paid for a year of PRO TOOLS updates ... right??

Default Email from Avid incorrectly claiming my Annual Upgrade Plan has expired

Last night I received this email, claiming my Annual Upgrade Plan had expired:




My Avid account says otherwise:




I let the Annual Plugin And Support Plan lapse because I don't need it, but the email specifically calls out the Annual Upgrade Plan as having expired... There's enough ambiguity surrounding the new licensing model as it is, but I'm hoping this is just an error rather than an attempt to capitalise on that ambiguity.

Anyone else received one of these emails?

As long as your Avid account shows the proper date, you should be good.

I don't know if the email was sent out by error, or if you have multiple Avid accounts?
