how to install 2018 7 on Window 7
I've successfully run PT on Windows 7 up through 2018.4 but now get a message that my system is inadequate for the 2018.7 update. Has anyone else run into this? I hate to leave windows 7.

Install over previous version using App Manager instead of from download.

Yes, installing over the previous version works perfectly, even with a downloaded version from your account.

No prob here either on W7 as far as the install; I have an issue where my nudging tracks don't show transparent anymore; it becomes a blank space until I let the clip go. But install from App Manager worked as normal here...
Are you updated fully as far as the w7 updates?..

No. I don't update Win 7 at all. It is just the original install.

Seems like they made an update, even thru app manager, and the installer always show same error message about my bad operating system  Tips someone? thx dave

Which PT version are you starting with? I cant remember which version you have to start with but you may need to start with something earlier. Or later.

For me it was 2018.3 over which I installed .4, and then over that 2018.7.
