Re: Looking for a good electric bass VI
Thanks for the recommendations. Ended up getting Native Instruments' Scarbee Pre-Bass. Sounds pretty good. Definitely good enough for the demos I'm doing.

Re: Looking for a good electric bass VI
That's depressing, I was on my way out the door to buy a kit when read this. Just in time.

Re: Looking for a good electric bass VI
In addition to Trilian I can reccomend Ministry of Rock.
They have some awsome hardrock basses. In my opinion right out of the box better bass sounds than Trilian. My favorite bass sound from any VI I'v tried is the Musicman patch from Ministry of Rock. |

Re: Looking for a good electric bass VI
hahahha... that is the problem, and the common misconception. It is easy to "play"... so then why, after 20 years in the LA studios... Bass was the most "fixed" (bring in someone else to play the part) instrument. But I did not mind.. SB

Re: Looking for a good electric bass VI
What are you talking about? All you do with the Bass is play the root note when the kick drum is struck, and if you're better looking than the singer you hide in the shadows - that's all there is to it.
