Default Weird sound problem

Hi guys,

Have a very annoying and weird problem.

When I start up PT and start working on a session, after one play-through, the sound cuts off and I have to reboot PT to continue. When it has rebooted the same thing happens. It makes it a little difficult to work….

Anyone in here who tried this before and knows how to fix it?

Thanks.

Tell us about your system. It's difficult to help without knowing the details.

I have a suspicion that it might be related to the settings in the Playback engine. I have been trying to adjust buffer size, CPU usage limit etc, but it makes no difference.

I don't know if its related at all but I don't believe LE 8 was ever qualified to work with Win 10 which can make it difficult to troubleshoot.

Hi again

I think I have discovered the reason and a way around it.

I recently changed computer, installed PT on the new one and transferred all old PT files onto the new drive. I now realize that it is only the files transferred from the old computer where this problems occur.

My solution is very simple and I can see it works. I make a copy of the session-file, so it is created - so to say - on my new system. And voila! Problem solved.

However, this is a bug that should be dealt with...

Hate to disappoint you, but no one is going to be fixing a "bug" on Pro Tools 8 LE that stopped being supported 8 years ago and especially for an operating system that didn't even exist back then.
