Default question about storing settings...

I am curious whether there is a quick way to store the settings of a song's effects to be pulled up later. For example - can I begin to mix a session with the effects; then, when the band comes back to lay more tracks - save everything I have done, take off the effects (because of the obvious latency issues), record the new tracks, finally - pull back up all the work I had done on the effects previously. Of course, I have found a hard way of doing it (saving a snapshot of the screen to see the order of the effects, then saving each of the effect's individually, then pulling each one up) but it is a pain in the butt. Anything I can do?

Thanks - Tuf

Yes - just deactivate every plugin while you're recording, the settings will be preserved when reactivating them.
Command-Control-click every insert button for toggling the active/inactive status, the plugin name will appear in italic when the plugin is deactivated.
