Default Timestretch Autmation

hi everybody, i am mixing a DVD at the mo and have to pitch the session down. change tempo and pitch like on an old tape recorder. i have already many volume automations made before i got the good news of pitching. how can i time stretch the automations when the length of the audio files is changing? or do i need to change them by hand?

thanks for help.

Can you not use the pull up/down feature in session setup?

I've never done it, but if you have a Sync I/O try the VSO option in session setup.

Do you need to change the pitch/speed of the whole session or in parts as an effect? VSO would work for the whole session.

I have used the VSO function mentioned above, and all automation follows that fine. I wanted to get the "tape slowdown" effect in one particular section, so I did it manually while printing a mix. It works fine if you are slowing/stretching. The speedup effect will only go +50cents. This worked fine for me as it was not for video. I imagine your margin for error is much smaller and sync is also an issue. When you figure it out, let us know how you did it. thanks, SB
