No Vst pluggins work now matter what I do!!!(.Digi 001 PT LE 6.4)

Hello hopefully able to help me

I know my gear is all a bit dated but I'm hopeing someone might have a easy fix for this because they've been there!!!

I'm running PT LE 6.4 on a Mac G4 os x 10.3.9 and I am trying to run the Korg Legacy Collection and NI's Komplete 4 as plugins though PT.

Both of them work fine as stand alone applications and they both show up as .dpm files in the pluggins menu under Pt in my apps folder.(When opened seperatly, Komplete 4 thoughs core audio but KLCollection runs through built in audio)

No matter what I have done in the past two weeks,I can't get either of the applications to show up as instruments in my inserts and work with PT.(and this includes wrapping the KLCollection with FXpansions vst wrapper)

I hope its not that my system is too old for these pluggins but any info would be a great help.

I'm afraid that's exactly why they don't work.
At some point they changed the RTAS format (and the .dpm extension came up) and all plugins had to be rewritten.
And you're on the very last OS an PT version that works with the 001.

You won't be able to run the plugins as RTAS plugs, (unless there's a way of wrapping them which works.... That's going to be a bit hit or miss I'm afraid)... As the previous poster mentioned you're going to have compatibility issues...

However there are a few options you still have:

Plogue Bidule is a VST and AU host which could run your plugins, it then Re-Wires into PT.... Check compatibility, but it's probably the most straightforward way to do this. There's a demo available on the Plogue site to check it out.... No idea if it works on Panther though..

Alternatively, you could use the plugins as standalone, and using another soundcard (or the Mac's built in card) wire those back into PT...
Use the MIDI IAC bus to get MIDI out of PT and into the plugins...
It's a bit of a pain, but if the plugins work as standalone then this would work with any version of PT.

Depending on your need for these plugs it might be time to upgrade though....

Just checked Plogue's site for you.... 10.4 upwards apparently....

Perhaps try the demo and see if it does work....
