Masterlist doesn't have any special features. Not a good program at all, especially for the money...Don't buy it!

Don't listen to anyone who has NO skill with MLCD...

MLCD is so versitle that Most people Don't Get It...

You could have 1 hour long song or up to 99 songs...

I would download the PDF from digidesign if you are imterested in using what Most mastering engineers use...Check it out...

MLCD does require some real effort to use properly, because there are so many things that you can do with it.....

Masterlist gives you complete control of your PQ subcode. And I used to have a CDR400, so yes that works (it is still working for the guy who bought it for his MLCD work). Make sure you can run 2.0 or later though (shouldn't be a problem) or else Dublication plants won't take the discs.

This ain't no candy program. You gotta read the manual, many times. Lots of control though, few bugs as well though.

If you work with SDII playlists . . . just stop, they don't work. You can recreate them directly in MLCD however.

Yeah, sure Masterlist is great when you need all that special PQ-code etc... stuff. But what about just quickly burning a cd out of a concert recording? You first edit in PT, export region definitions, spend a lot's of time in ML importing those regions. Oh, what a waste of time! With a graphical interface it would be just a few minutes. (And this could be added to Pro Tools...!)

Now, what about USB and Firewire support...

If you want something simple I would suggest Waveburner. Rather quick and easy and doesn't seem to have many problems.

If you need total control go with MLCD.

If you wanna use Jam, use Jam.

I can work 5 times faster in MLCD than in Jam or Waveburner, both because I am used to it, and because it can do every little tweak feature I need. That of course is not true for everybody, but it is for me.

Decide what features are most important to you, and research all of your options to make your choice.

Also, never take just one person's opinions. Try to find many.

Yes, you can put a 40 minute long file in MLCD and designate track IDs where you want them.

Compatibility info can be found on our site:
