v10.3.9 was released earlier this year. It think it was in May. It certainly wasn't before April 1 (no joke), as I did an eleven system deployment that ended then and v10.3.9 was not available.

We can only hope that this release will contain multiple fixes and happen soon. It's a long ways from taking a full year to fix though.

I said "maybe". It's been eight months now though and who knows how much longer it's gonna take before we see it. I would love to be wrong about this though.

My gut is, this will be the last 10 release. So I see why they would want to bundle as many fixes into it as possible (if my guess is right)

But I agree it's been WAY too long in coming!!

Having said all this.... hoping for first week of new year!

I'm working on getting 10.3.9 to go back to 10.3.8 and it's not being straightforward (or straightbackward)
I'm on Lion 10.8.5

Following the advice here I did a safe uninstall of 10.3.9 and now the splash screen flashes for a second but Pro Tools won't open.

I see the Pro Tools uninstaller software in my applications folder is still version 10.3.9

Should I use that wrong uninstaller to do a clean uninstall or follow the Mavericks instructions for manual uninstall? Even though I'm on 10.8.5....

There is a days work of plugins to reinstall

You would think that a software company would remove links to download broken versions of its own products...

Oh yeah.. I've now used the Uninstaller that comes as part of the installer dmg for 10.3.8 and done a safe uninstall of 10.3.8.

Reinstalled 10.3.8 for a second time.

Splash screen flashes up for a second but no Pro Tools

So which is it gonna be? Follow Mavericks uninstall (even though I'm on Mountain Lion) or clean uninstall (using 10.3.9 or 10.3.8 uninstaller)?

I've a ton of plugs I'd like to not have to reinstall.....

Please do a clean uninstall, reinstall, and let us know what happens.

Ok that seems to have worked. For the record I used the uninstaller from 10.3.9 for the clean uninstall the second time round (having re-installed 10.3.8 once to no avail)

Inputs controls really need to work on recording software. Glad to have them back now..

Yeah for the record I would have trashed prefs before a reinstall and trashed the prefs after the failed startup issues as well
